Autumn on the village green

All the trees on the village green have lost their leaves save one, which is a glorious gleaming gold. Beautiful.

Spot the monkey!

Thatchers around here often decorate the ridge of a thatched cottage with the effigy of a pheasant made of thatch. The thatcher who did the roof of a cottage in our village recently got a little more creative!
